Monaco, July 7th, 2023 – The Prix artmonte-carlo - F.P.Journe was awarded to Bertille Bak, represented by the Xippas Gallery, for “Le berceau du chaos”.

Monaco, July 7th, 2023 – artmonte-carlo, one of the major modern and contemporary art events on the international scene, returned to the Grimaldi Forum Monaco from July 8 to 9, under the High Patronage of H.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco.

Organized by Thomas Hug and Laura Meillet, this salon offers a unique platform for artists, galleries and collectors from all over the world. The event aims to highlight works of art in a privileged environment, encourage cultural exchange and stimulate reflection on current trends. For this seventh edition, the fair welcomed 34 galleries. Visitors were also able to discover the "Monet en pleine lumière" exhibition, which runs until September 3 at the Grimaldi Forum.

During the vernissage, the Prix artmonte-carlo - F.P.Journe, which rewards the best exhibition presented at the salon, was awarded to Bertille Bak, represented by the Xippas Gallery, for “Le berceau du chaos”. The artwork will be donated by F.P.Journe to the NMNM, the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco.

The jury was composed of leading personalities from the institutional sphere, who brought their expert eye to the selection: Björn Dahlström (Director of the NMNM), Emilie Girard (Scientific and Collections Director at the Mucem in Marseille) and Célia Bernasconi (Chief Curator of the NMNM).

Over the years, F.P.Journe has established a close relationship with the art world and is actively committed to supporting cultural initiatives. The Prix artmonte-carlo - F.P.Journe honours emerging talents who stand out for their originality, boldness and ability to push back the boundaries of artistic expression.
