April 2017 – 2nd edition of the contemporary Art Salon artmonte-carlo during which François-Paul Journe awarded the Prize Off artmonte-carlo-F.P. Journe to the Institution Svetlana New York for the best Art Space dedicated to Mathieu Malouf and Matthew Langan-Peck

Partner of artgenève since 2014, F.P.Journe pursues its commitment in the Art World by partnering with artmonte-carlo, the salon of contemporary Art and design. Under the high patronage of his H.S.H. the Prince Albert II of Monaco, artmonte-carlo establishes a leading artistic platform on the Côte d’Azur, honoring the requirements of the collectors and art- lovers.

This second edition took place at the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco from 28 to 30 April, 2017, during which F.P.Journe presented its prestigious collection of haute horology watches in the “Ephemeral Boutique” located at the Espace Indigo in the Grimaldi Forum.

The Prix Off artmonte-carlo-F.P.Journe rewards the best Art Space presented by one of the 15 participating Institutions. It was awarded Friday April 28 to the Institution Svetlana from New York for the best art space dedicated to Mathieu Malouf and Matthew Langan-Peck.

The jury of the Prix Off artmonte-carlo-F.P.Journe was composed of three major figures of the European Art scene: Marie-Claude Beaud (director NMNM Monaco), Manuel Borja Villel (director Musée Reina Sofia Madrid) and Hélène Guenin (Museum of modern and contemporary art (Nice). The Off Award grants the winning Institution the financing of a cultural project in collaboration with F. P.Journe.
The second edition of artmonte-carlo was rich of over 40 international exhibiting galleries and enhanced by the presence of 15 non-commercial Institutions such as the Nouveau Musée National de Monaco, the Delphina Foundation, the Fiorucci Art Trust, the Fondazione Bonotto, SAM Art projects or Fondazione SoutHeritage per l’arte contemporanea.
