A World Premiere:
the only wristwatch with remontoire (constant force device)

Always with the same preoccupation of improving the performance and precision of the watch, François-Paul Journe imagined that a remontoire and a tourbillon would result in better isochronism. The Tourbillon Souverain thus became the world's first wristwatch with a remontoire.

The invention of the tourbillon, which goes done as one of the most beautiful achievements of the XVIIIe century, is used to restore the equilibrium of the escapement and to maintain the stability of the rate in the vertical position. François-Paul Journe created this first tourbillon wristwatch with remontoire to this invention and to add another chapter to the history of horology.
